i saw the dover family over the holidays.  i ran into them on the streets of newton.  :)
jenica and jeff have welcomed a new addition to their family!  congrats you two!  i hope i have the opportunity to shoot some baby pictures soon!  (hint hint.)

in other news, their wedding made the december 2009 issue of Southern New England Weddings.

i found a copy at barnes and noble, tore out the pages they were featured in and scanned them for you all to see.  that hot pink check mark is where you can barely make out my name.

some things to note:
- yes, i ripped the page in excitement.
- they chose a few images i would not have.
- THEY SPELLED MY NAME WRONG!  grr.

i guess when you aren't on their permanent vendor list of cool people, they spell your name wrong and type it real small and put it way down on the bottom.  i ain't mad at 'em.  :)

and because i didn't post it on the blog before, here is their album layout.  (some photos in album by jennifer simon.) hit play and enjoy.  KMD

oh hi, blog!  it's me!  your long lost owner.  i was sick for over a month.  then i went on vacation.  then the holidays came.  basically, i've been a bad, bad, blogger.  i'll catch up.  i did put in some work on my website the weekend before leaving for puerto rico.  i love the song i chose.  check it out:  THIS WEBSITE ROCKS

my mother asked me christmas morning to whip up a page for the myrtle baptist church 135 anniversary book.  my response was..."right now?!"  her response...."it's due on sunday!"  i can never say no, especially to my mother.  her idea was to make a family tree with my grandparents as a starting point and a message at the top wishing the church congrats.

there may be a few divorces and re-marriges and all that jazz involved.  but i just glossed over that fact and simplified it to serve it's general purpose.

this is what i put together in microsoft word.....
the tree image is courtesy of "the charles" on deviantart.  i think it's a beautiful tree.  i hope it was OK to use it.

irony?  i forgot to finish it yesterday and woke up to 2 frantic voice messages today from my mother.  i finished it this morning, instead of going to church.  ha!  my grandmother will not be pleased.  (about the not going to church part.)  KMD

meghan traveled to with me to spain, during my last semester at UMASS. there was a group of about 20 of us and we spent 5 months in Oviedo. oh, the good old days. :) quick shoutout to lola and oscar (my host family). oscar was 4 years old when i was there. he must be in middle school now! time flies. anyway, i was thrilled when meghan contacted me to photograph her wedding next year in north hampton, ma. we strolled around downtown boston for a very casual engagement session sometime back in...august? yes. i am that late on posting photos. i know. i know. i'll work on it. p.s. the slideshow will repeat.  over and over again.  :)  KMD

Meg:

Karin,
Wow, I feel like a celeb! Nice job as always!
I also enjoyed your old family photos - I spent a few years researching my family tree so I can definitely appreciate family history.
Your Medusa/New Moon stuff is very cool, but I must admit if I ran into you looking like that in a dark alley off of Calle Gascona I'd probably be a little freaked out.
Hope things are going well!
Meg

THE DREAM TEAM:
KARIN DAILEY - photographer
CHRISTINA ELFAR - hair/make-up
NOEL ESTACIO - make-up
JASON OLIVERA - hair
AMELIA GENAO - assistant/stylist

back one sunday at the end of september, we had 8 models come in.  all 8 showed up.  all 8 rocked.  i think i posted a few 'teaser' images from this session before, but haven't posted more since then.  our theme was 'black'....just a color to tie all of the images together.  i'll eventually photoshop an ANTM style image of all the girls standing.  it should be dope.  :)  i said dope.  KMD
