i've tried to continue using the studio and profoto equipment from CDIA.  i love that school.  i still borrow equipment and space whenever i can.  don't take it away from me, CDIA.  lol.  once or twice a month i've held portrait days.  i can only do this on sundays because classes are scheduled in the studios throughout the week and on saturday.  when i grow up, i'll own a studio all to myself.  lol.  soon, kids.  soon.

gabe is an actor.  he was just in spring awakening.
angie is an aspiring country singer.  go nashville!
TJ is an aspiring kiddie model.  go TJ.  it's your birthday.

what's the difference between a blog tag and a blog keyword?  no se.

just like the caf lady:  thank you, enjoy!  KMD

John Stephens (born December 28, 1978) better known by his stage name John Legend, is an American recording artist, musician and actor. He has won six Grammy Awards.

Prior to the release of his debut album, Legend's career gained momentum through a series of successful collaborations with multiple established artists. Notably, Legend sang the hooks for hits by Slum Village ("Selfish", also featuring Kanye West), Jay-Z ("Encore"), and Dilated Peoples ("This Way", also featuring Kanye West); played piano on Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything"; and sang background vocals on Alicia Keys' 2003 song "You Don't Know My Name" and Fort Minor's "High Road."

Recently, Legend recorded "Green Light" in collaboration with Andre 3000 as the lead single for this third album Evolver.

i just stole all of that from wikipedia.  i love john legend.  i love his music.  i listen to his cds over and over again.  rock on, john.  KMD

so one of the reasons why i went with ITDR was for these killer "blogshows".  how cool are these?  i first saw them on chenin boutwell's site.  she's cool for sure.  and i wanted to make an attempt to be just as cool.  :)

i wasn't sure how far to go back for this blog.  or where to start.  i figured the beginning of the year was a good jump off point.  i'll at least give you a glimpse into what i've done so far in 2009.

this shoot was in february.  2 bands.  old friends.  road soda and katet.  both bands rock.  i need to go see both groups live real soon.  miss geneve rege was on hand because there was no way i could handle 2 sets of equipment on my own.  where are the photos of katet?  they are vertical images and i can't seem to size them correctly for the blogshow.  dangit!  and as the lady in my cafeteria at work would say:  thank you, enjoy!

hello friends and family!  finally!  FINALLY!  i have a new blog!  i have a new website as well, but it is a pain process and i want to pull my hair out.  i used yahoo's sitemanager for almost 6 years and now i have to relearn everything under a completely different company and server.  shoot me, please.  :)

after months of waiting and a good year of indecision, i came across a design company called into the dark room.  i fell in love immediately with the clean design of their template site/blog and i bought it.  i then realized how different my old website was and if i needed to "switch gears", i'd need to put in some work!  i spent the last 2 months hosting various "TF*" sessions with models in the area.  that's "trade for 'whatever'", in this case a DVD of the images.  and got some GREAT stuff.

i worked with 3 make-up artists (MUA) who are excellent!

christina elfar of http://www.bellanovasalon.net/
talia pique of http://piquecompany.com and
samantha of http://www.illustriousdayspa.com/

well.  i hope to keep this bad boy updated.  you'll notice that i've moved my focus from weddings and portraits to retouching and models.  this doesn't mean that i don't want to shoot your wedding.  i do!  so feel free to contact me about your day.  :)

enjoy the photos.  i need an obnoxious catch phrase to end this.  or just...
