Karin was born and raised in the Boston area. She went to college to study biology and has even worked at a large pharmecutical company for the last 7 years. Eck! Through what she describes as sheer luck, Karin was granted all-access to Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert in 2004 at Giants Stadium with just a tiny point and shoot! That experience lit a fire in her that continues to burn. Her photographic interests have since expanded from live music and crossed over into lifestyle portraiture, weddings, photo illustration, sports and more. Most describe her work as: fun, fresh, creative, modern, colorful, clean and simply brilliant. She has got a great eye.

She has earned a fancy piece of paper from Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA) in the professional photography certificate program in 2008. Her recent work was honored by The National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and she received a Guru Award at the 2009 Photoshop World Convention and Expo in the artistic category.
