NEW-YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY

back in december, i shot a somewhat unique assignment. the new-york historical society asked me to photograph a dozen period re-enactors for an exhibit in their new center for women’s history: saving washington. the photographs would end up being life-sized cutouts, placed around the exhibit hall to add to the interactive vibe of a party at the white house, hosted by then first lady, dolley madison. i worked with the exhibit’s designer to choose poses that would make the cutout placement in the room fit the layout of the room. i’m planning on getting down to see the exhibit before it’s end on July 30.
