every other year, the turner family goes all in for thanksgiving. the extended family gathers in a hall large enough to hold all of us. i usually document the mayhem with my camera and post to facebook with an attempt at humorous commentary. i’m going the blog route this year - so, below are some photos from this year.

i’ve been trying to draw more over the last 6 months. i figured that if i’m going to sit in front of the TV and watch garbage reality shows at night - i might as well do something constructive at the same time. i had been using my ipad and stylus to practice in the adobe draw app, but there’s something missing from working strictly digital. pencil and paper feels different. in a good way. i gave acrylic painting a shot, but really like using watercolor. here are a couple of sketches of my beat up sneakers. i’m just surprised i didn’t give up half way up the laces.
